The fruits of labour will come to favour

Those who desire to earn its keep

Plant and feed those first few seeds

Then, waiting, wondering

Morning dew of green grass opening

Beds of narcissus erupt in splendour

Courgettes flowers provide grandeur

Whilst hummingbird hawk moths

Haste in and out of lavender paths

The heart delights at each aura

Evening scents of honeysuckle and flora

Makes the head light with each aroma

Contemplating, Content

Sipping Pinot de Charente

Amazed at the sweet nectar

Of the fruits of my labour
